Shake
Dat Booty
Headline: Do Your Dooty and Shake Dat Booty
Label: LnM Records
“Shake Dat Booty”, first 12” from Ananè's debut album
“Selections” is a sure anthem for all the independent and
go-ahead ladies that know how to be sexy!
For listeners familiar with the more stylish and elegant Ananè that sings with a deep, soulful and jazzy style on The Elements Of Life project, this single will be a huge surprise: Anane has never been so aggressive and sexy at the same time. With ironic and saucy lyrics and a vocal style that pays homage to old school rap Ananè overturns hip hop virile stereotypes and claims her femininity. “Shake Dat Booty” will set dance floors all over the world on fire with a fresh and irresistible Caribbean rhythm mashing up house, latin vibes and dancehall with a unique explosive mixture.
Rhythmically “Shake Dat Booty” develops a sort of upgraded version of raggaeton finally contaminated with a house flava. But besides being an ultimate floor filler, thanks to its radio friendly appeal, it will easily be a sure-player selection by radio programmers. Alongside Anané the production team is made up of Da Groove Doctors (Jay Dabhi, Moises Modesto and Duane Harden, the man who wrote the mega hit “Love Generation” with Bob Sinclar) and of course the legendary Louie Vega. Remixes are on hand by Bob Sinclar, Louie Vega and Martin & Nocera. Superstar dj Bob Sinclar adds his unmistakable touch, thus giving us his version of a new Pacha/Ibiza anthem!! Martin and Nocera choose instead a more electronic and underground path with a hard kicking drum and a fat bassline. Louie Vega “does his duty” putting together house and Latin vibes, forcing you “to shake your booty”! Shake Dat will be featured in the 2008 Ministry Of Sound Annual compilation.

U
Don’t Know Me
Headline: Bet Ya Know Me Now!!!
Label: FFRR London Records UK
"U Don't Know Me" is called by industry critics as the
ANTHEM of the winter season 1999. Armand Van Helden and
Duane Harden teamed up to bring you "thought provoking"
lyrics backed by a hooky disco string loop.
Music lovers rave about the "2FUTURE4U" album. The success
of this EP is giving the temperatute for this HOT project.
It's definitely something that no DJ can spin without. "You
Don't Know Me" is one of the first vocals that Armand has
ever done original production on. The song was number one in
the UK Top 40 in 1999, knocking off The Offspring's song
"Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)". The recording of this song
went about in an unconventional way; the track was laid
down, Van Helden went off and did his own thing, and left
Harden to his own devices. The strings featured in this song
sampled the disco song "Dance With U", originally performed
by Carrie Lucas. The full version of the track features an
intro sampling a conversation from the Dial M for Monkey
cartoon.
